Flooring
Flooring (Example 1)
Previously a carpeted room, we levelled the existing uneven floor surface with a levelling compound.
We were then able to install an underlay membrane with a built in moisture barrier.
Using engineered Oak flooring, we were then able to lay this new floor surface with its lovely characterful grain.
For the final touch we fitted a white Scotia moulding around the perimeter of the room and two new Oak thresholds that we made for this project.
The white Scotia mould visually recedes back into the skirting making a more seamless look than a stained version would.
Flooring (Example 2)
Here we have installed Luxury vinyl flooring, which has many benefits.
It is very durable, so great for high traffic areas.
Doesn't need expansion gaps, therefore it doesn't require a perimeter trim and it can flow from room to room.
Water proof and easy to clean.
Also it's actually fairly warm underfoot.
